Videos can be extremely motivating, especially ones of your heroes or people you most admire. For example right now the most motivational video I found on youtube for myself is a Muhammad Ali Clips video.
The music is perfect for the video.
Check it out.
I bet everyone has a vision of their perfect self because every human being out there wants to grow into someone they would consider amazing. Just as everyone else I have a vision for the perfect me. There have been very good cases in human history of people actually achieving this goal. For example look at Muhammad Ali, he sought to become the greatest boxer he could ever be and he achieved it, no matter what the world thought or thinks of him now. But the only thing that separates people who do change for the better and the rest of the world is action. They don’t only think they can do it, they get up and do it!
- Write down what you want to truly achieve - quite simply writing something down on a piece of paper and then reading it later can change your perspective of that idea. Tomorrow I will come back and look at what I wrote on this site. I will think did I really write this. People go through various emotions during the day and capturing a thought can help alot as you can come back to it, look at it and re-enforce it again.
- Set a 5 step plan - setting a simple plan of 4-5 steps can work quite effectively. Think of it as a game, there are levels to get through and the boss level is the last step. Getting to the last step may be enjoyable or boring. Its up to you to decide. This 5 step plan will be your personal trainer for getting this goal you have always desired or to fully transform yourself into someone you have dreamed about.
- Physical fitness - this is probably one of the most important self booster you can give yourself. You may think this may not help you in the long run but getting a training regime keeps you on track physically. So the rest of the steps keep you on track mentally and physically you do the same. With the additional benefit of lowering the risk of cardiovascular, respiratory and various other medical problems associated with lack of exercise.
- Talk to someone about your goals - talking to someone about what you want to achieve will enforce that idea further in your head. It will give you a sense of responsibility and motivation as you know someone else will know about it. So talking to a close friend/partner would benefit your frame of mind. Who knows you two can set goals for each other and move things along faster.
- DO IT! - quite simply the last and the biggest step is to get up and DO IT. Its easy to think about something but it is the hardest to actually do it. Look at all the greatest figures in the world, they thought about it and did it. Michelangelo didn’t just sit there thinking about becoming an artist and how he could become one of the greatest one, he got up and started drawing and sculpting eventually being recognized as one of the greatest.
There you have it! Im not saying I have achieved all of these but I know I will eventually. I will change myself for the better and become the perfect me that I have always wanted to become. I know its easy for me to say ill do it but I have to go away and do it. A perfect example of someone actually achieving what they wanted is Mr. John Stone (http://www.johnstonefitness.com/) who lost weight, gained muscle and documented all his success. I plan to do the same for my mental well being, and so can you.

Most people would rather be certain they're miserable, than risk being happy.

Well, I have never blogged before. I hardly know how to use this site and I am not too tech saavy. But the reason I have created this blog is simple - I want to change what I am.
What needs to change?
Simply most of the things in my life are not going as I want them to go. My thoughts are all over the place getting me trapped in continuous loops of anxiety filled scenarios.
When someone teaches me something I switch off as I panic. When this anxiety switches on I blank out the message that the person is trying to portray. I switch off quite simply because I am afraid of failure, I am afraid that during the teaching that person will ask me a question which I have no answer to.
How does anxiety affect me?
Its a daily thing for me now. Upset stomach all the time as well as craving for any form of food. Learning is done last minute as procrastination sets in early. And I hate the way this is going for me, I will fall if I continue along this path.
So what am I going to do about it?
I know changing will not happen overnight. I know that to change I have to truely explore myself. I have to get to the deep foundations to who I really am. If there is anyone reading this im sure you will want the same thing. A change from all of the things that bring us down.
Therefore I will start with a plan and a self guide as to what I want to do now with myself.
- I aim to stay healthy in terms of a good diet and regular exercise.
- I aim to work hard at what I am doing and achieve results that I never knew someone like me could achieve.
- I aim to control my emotions in situations that I think are hopeless and make them work for me rather than against me
- Lastly, I aim to become the perfect me that I have always envisioned myself as becoming.
There we go, I will look at this list everyday and im sure you will make a similar list of what you truely want to achieve and achieve it.
